정재영, 박시후 주연의 영화 <내가 살인범이다>가 일본에서 리메이크 버전으로 제작, 일본 사회의 분위기와 시대상을 반영해 새로운 각색을 더하여 2017년 6월 10일 개봉했다살인범 역에는 <데스노트>의 주연으로도 잘 알려져 있는 후지와라 타츠야가 캐스팅, 형사 역에는 영화 <우드잡>으로 일본 아카데미상 남우조연상을 수상한 연기파 배우 이토 히데아키가 낙점됐다. 그리고 <조커게임>, <거기엔 래퍼가 없다> 등의 작품으로 일본 영화계의 새로운 기대주로 주목 받아 온 이리에 유 감독이 메가폰을 잡았다.
