도굴꾼 집안에서 태어난 우시에는 과부묘에 들어갔다가 우연히 사모릉에 들어가는 열쇠를 손에 넣게 된다. 사모릉은 불멸의 삶에 대한 거대한 비밀이 얽혀있는 고대 무덤. 우시에는 할아버지의 유품인 도묘필기에서 사모릉에 대한 정보를 입수하고 숙부와 함께 팀을 꾸려 사모릉에 들어간다. 한편, 영생을 누릴 수 있는 방법이 적힌 동판의 마지막 조각을 찾던 헨드릭스는 용병을 고용하여 우시에와 그의 숙부를 뒤쫓는데...
