어린 시절 부모님을 잃고 홀로 자란 유이는 20년 전에 아버지가 선생님으로 재직했던 응보고에 영어 선생님으로 새로 부임하게 된다.어린 시절 부모님과 함께 살았던 옛집에 새 거처를 마련한 유이는 집안을 청소하다 아버지가 남긴 일기장을 발견하고 어렴풋하게나마 행복했던 옛 기억을 떠올리게 된다. 일기장의 내용을 따라 유이는 아버지를 기억하는 사람이 있을거라 생각하고 부모님의 흔적을수소문하다 충격적인 과거와 맞닥뜨리게 되는데
