배경은 일제시대. 종로통을 장악했던 두한은 몸을 피해 종로를 떠나 원산으로 향한다. 그 곳에서 두한은 장은실이라는 가수를 알게 된다. 빚 때문에 매인 몸인 장은실을 위해 시라이와 싸운 두한은 다시 쫓기는 몸이 돼 만주로 간다. 만주에서 쌍칼을 만나 편하게 지내지만 자신의 보금자리는 종로임을 깨닫고 다시 돌아온다. 두한은 활기를 잃은 종로를 다시 일으키고자 부하들을 모은다. 한편, 가수로 성공한 장은실은 야쿠자를 습격하고 쫓기던 두한을 숨겨준다. 하야시
