ASA(NASA가 아니다), 일명 ‘아시아 항공우주국’ 탐사대원 기동은 아내이자 동료였던 선호가 출산 도중 목숨을 잃자 ASA를 떠나 홀로 딸 규진을 키운다. 어느 날 다른 차원에서 나타난 선호를 만나는 신비한 경험을 하게 된 기동은 선호를 찾아 다시 우주로 나가기로 결심하고, 선호가 남긴 설계도를 바탕으로 만든 비밀우주선 ‘인천스텔라’에 탑승한다.
