해리 포터 시리즈의 2차 창작 팬무비. 해리 포터 시리즈의 수많은 2차 창작물들은 대개 팬픽이 대부분이지만 이 작품은 그러한 2차 창작물의 형식 중에서 최초로 영화로 제작된다는 점에서 주목을 받고 있다. 비공식 작품이니만큼 근본적으로 J.K 롤링의 해리 포터/신비한 동물사전 시리즈와 공식적인 연관은 없으며 해당 영화사 홈페이지에도 시리즈에 영감을 받아 제작하였다고 표기하고 있다.
