민국 시대, 정무문의 제자 진진은 일본에서 신분을 숨기고 대학에서 공업 기술을 배우고 있었다. 그러나 일본 흑룡회는 가면을 쓰고 나타나 낭인들을 패배시킨 신비의 남자가 진진이라고 의심한다. 흑룡회 부회장 치요 시노부는 계속해서 진진을 도발하고, 진진은 가면 쓴 남자의 정체가 형의권 사부 설자립이었다는 것을 알게 된다. 진진은 설자립의 조언에 깨달음을 얻지만, 치요 시노부는 진진을 끌어내기 위해 그의 친구들을 희생시키려 하는데…
