1847년 오랜 기근과 영국의 탄압이 극에 달했던 아일랜드. 아일랜드 출신의 한 영국 탈영병이 고향으로 도망을 친다. 하지만 집에 돌아온 그는 영국인들에 의해 잔인하게 살해된 가족들을 보게 된다. 복수를 결심하게 된 그는 가족의 죽음에 연관된 사람들을 하나씩 살해한다.
