소방관 살인 사건을 조사하던 중 괴한의 습격을 받아 제인이 기억을 잃고 만다. 기억을 되돌리기 위해 리스본은 제인을 수사에 투입하지만, 제인은 영매 때의 기억을 갖고 있기 때문에 사고만 치고 다닌다. 결국 제인 덕분에 범인을 잡게 되지만 제인이 범인과 은밀한 거래를 했다는 게 밝혀지는데
