파이크족들이 자신이 지키는 프리 타운 근방에서 스파이스 거래를 하는것을 본 코브 반스는 그냥 가면 길 잘못 든 걸로 처리해 줄 것이라 회유하지만 오히려 파이크들이 총을 뽑자 그들을 사살해 버린다. 코브 반스는 남은 한 명에게 스파이스는 놓고 돈만 가져가라 하고, 스파이스는 사막에 엎어 버린다.
