정신을 차린 하우스는 정신병원에서 퇴원하려고 하지만 놀런 박사는 그냥 퇴원하면 의사 생활을 관둬야 한다며 하우스를 병원에 잡아둔다. 하우스는 반항도 해 보고 협조하는 척도 해보지만 놀런을 비롯한 의사들은 속지 않는다. 그러다 면회 온 여자의 차를 빼앗아 같은 병동 환자인 스티브와 함께 놀이공원에 간다.
